Latest Dementia Research
Kingsway Care and Kingsway Coffee have hooked up with an exciting local community project – the Sussex Brain Bus. Sarah King, the brains behind the project is leading dementia research at the University of Sussex and wants to share the latest research with you.

“What’s good for the heart is good for the brain.”
Funded by Alzheimer’s Research UK
The team of researchers has been awarded funding from Alzheimer’s Research UK to decorate a local bus – the number 700 Coastliner running between Brighton and Littlehampton.
Join us at the creative workshops
Join us at a creative workshop in Kingsway Coffee, Hove, and learn about the latest dementia research and what we can all do to keep our brains healthy. We are looking for adults living in Brighton & Hove to help create this moving brain exhibition.
The workshops will be on Wednesdays from 5 – 6.30pm on 14th, 21st, 28th September, and 5th October and are free of charge.
Help Design the Sussex Brain Bus
The local artist, Daniel Locke will also be at the workshops to help you design the Sussex Brain Bus. The aim is to share the latest dementia research for all to see on a local bus. Your artwork will be used to wrap the No 700 coastline bus from Brighton to Littlehampton. How cool is that?

“It will be amazing to use the bus as a canvas to talk about the research we’re doing and to motivate people to keep their brains in good shape. The Sussex Brain Bus exhibition on wheels will be a great way to spread the word throughout the city. I can’t wait to get started on the project and see what we come up with in the workshops.”
