Our commitment
Kingsway Care wants everyone to be able to use this website comfortably — including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or larger text. Many of the families we support are arranging care for older relatives, so readability and ease of use matter to us as much as they matter to you.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. In practice, this website is built with:
- A larger-than-usual base text size throughout, chosen with older readers in mind
- Colour contrast that meets AA thresholds for body text and interface elements
- Full keyboard navigation, including the main menus, search, and forms, with a visible focus indicator
- A "skip to content" link for screen reader and keyboard users
- Descriptive alternative text on images, and properly structured headings on every page
- Forms with clear labels, and no time limits on completing them
- No content that flashes, auto-plays with sound, or moves in ways that can't be paused
