Care Quality Commission (CQC):

Kingsway Care is an approved Home Care service agency.

The CQC inspect a range of different services that offer care in the home.

The most common of these services are homecare agencies, which offer people a care worker in their own homes to help meet a range of needs.

You can use CQC’s inspection reports and ratings to help you understand the quality of care available.

Homecare Association:

The Homecare Association is the UK’s membership body for homecare providers. The Association’s mission is to work together to ensure that homecare is valued, so that all of us can live well at home and flourish within our communities. The Homecare Association uses its trusted voice to help shape homecare and provides hands-on support and practical tools for its members.

Dementia Friends:

Kingsway Care has formed an alliance with Dementia Friends and supports local fundraising events.

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition.

Whether you attend a face-to-face Information Session or watch the online video, Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about the Dementia Friends programme to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts.

Friends Against Scams:

Kingsway Care has partnered with Friends Against Scams to raise awareness in the community about scams that specifically target older people.

Friends Against Scams is a National Trading Standards Scams Team initiative, which aims to protect and prevent people from becoming victims of scams by empowering people to take a stand against scams.

  • Scams cost the UK economy £5 – £10 billion a year
  • 53% of people over 65 have been targeted by scams
  • Only 5% of scams are reported
  • Our statistics indicate that the average scam victim has lost over £3,000

Anybody can join Friends Against Scams and make a difference in their own way.

Together, we can create a scam free nation!
