Our Caregivers Pledge

Kingsway Care believes that care should be extended to value, help and support our amazing team of CareGiver professionals. We will always create a supportive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment, and they, in turn, will provide exceptional care.

To demonstrate our commitment, we have developed our ‘Caring for our CareGivers Pledge’:

Professional training and development

Our Kingsway Care Academy is a 12-week induction course covering the 15 standards of the care certificate. We will empower staff to develop skills and knowledge, building confidence to enable career progression. Kingsway Care encourage all individuals to improve their skills and knowledge in the care sector, with vocational qualifications i.e. NVQs and Diplomas in Health & Social Care. With regular supervision and appraisals, we will identify your personal goals and aspirations and create a personal development plan to get you there.

Safeguarding and protection

Kingsway Care will provide In-house Level 2 Safeguarding Adults at Risk Training delivered by the registered manager. We will ensure that staff themselves are protected from harm and abuse. Risk assessments are conducted to ensure safe working in client’s homes. This includes: manual handling and the moving of clients; electrical hazards; work equipment and machinery; client’s property (Slips & Trips); and lone working.

Kingsway Care have invested in a full range of the highest quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the protection of our clients and CareGivers. These include fluid resistant masks, visors and powder free nitrile gloves.

Inclusive & supportive

We will create a family culture that is welcoming, inclusive and supportive. We will provide ongoing wellbeing checks for staff and individual support as required. Care teams and clients will feel part of the Kingsway Care family from the moment they step inside the office.

Empower & reward

We will empower, motivate and reward caregivers for identifying individual client’s wishes and dreams and helping to make them come true. Why not delight our clients by taking them to a football match or enjoy a decadent afternoon out with high tea. We will strive to make caregiving fun, imaginative and rewarding.

Achievements & recognition

We believe in sharing our good news stories and all great things achieved through social media platforms, local and national press releases and website coverage. We will also enter both regional and national care awards for individuals and teams. We will recognise and appreciate the exceptional care our teams and individuals provide by celebrating all achievements with gifts, thank you letters, birthday presents, vouchers and carer of the month awards, to name but a few.
