First home care visit nerves
We know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave a loved one with a CareGiver for the first time. So we couldn't wait to share this hunky-dory story. The Client's partner was nervous about organising home care visits as the Client wasn't aware that she had dementia and he didn't want to upset her.
He needn't have worried. We arrived and introduced the Client to our CareGiver, Tara, and one of our Client Coodinators, Tracy. Conscious of taking things slowly for the first home care visit, they agreed to just keep her company whilst her partner popped out.
Dancing Around the Living Room
Imagine how relieved her partner felt when he came back to see them all dancing around the living room to arguably, David Bowie's best album of all time, Hunky Dory! (Watch the YouTube video above to find out why). The Client would have been 16 or 17 when Hunky Dory was released in 1971 and it must have brought back wonderful memories.

Tara used to work as a carer in a nursing home and has recently joined Kingsway Care. She keeps saying, "I love it!" every time someone asks about her new job.
