Kingsway Care has a variety of job vacancies for CareGivers across Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. A UK driving license and access to a car is essential for home visits. Take a look to see if any of the opportunities would suit you.

1. Full Time CareGivers

If you can work more than 30 hours a week and enjoy making a positive difference in older and disabled Clients’ lives, this could be the career move for you! We’ll nurture your talents and provide continuous professional career development so you can climb the Kingsway Care career ladder. The job role includes the following:

  • Home care visits (usually an hour or longer for each Client)
  • Personal care
  • Medication administration
  • Monitoring of care needs
  • Reporting of concerns/changes
  • Writing up care notes on the PASS app
  • Food preparation
  • Monitoring of nutrition and fluids
  • Housekeeping/domestic
  • Social activities in and out of home
  • Companionship visits
  • Supporting families

Training & Support

Kingsway Care provide a three day face-to-face induction course to make sure you are confident in your caregiving role. During your first twelve weeks, you will need to complete online and face-to-face training modules to earn the industry recognised Care Certificate. 

You will be fully supported with shadow visits, supervisions, appraisals and we’ll also discuss your personal development plan to help you reach your career goals.

2. Senior Full Time CareGivers

Senior full time CareGivers will earn a monthly salary instead of an hourly rate. You will need to be available to work for 30 hours a week and a UK driving license and access to a car are essential. As well as the traditional caregiving duties listed for CareGivers, the Senior CareGivers job role will include the following:

  • Close monitoring of allocated Clients
  • Regular liaison with Client Coordinators
  • Review Clients with Client Coordinator
  • Check medication/medication reviews
  • Contribute to reflective practice meetings
  • Specialised training/specialisms
  • Mentoring of less experienced CareGivers
  • Shadowing of new starters
  • Well-being checks on CareGivers
  • Assess the competency of less experienced CareGivers

3. Flexible Part Time CareGivers

You can choose the hours you want to work from full-time, part-time, mornings, evenings, or weekends. You will need to be available to work for a minimum of 15 hours per week and we have morning and evening shifts:

  • Mornings 8am – 2pm
  • Evenings  2pm – 10pm

4. Morning CareGivers 

Are you an early bird? Forget the 9 – 5, we have vacancies for morning calls from 8am to 2pm in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding areas. You would be helping Clients to get up, wash, and dress for the day. Perhaps prepare breakfast or lunch and administer any medication or creams. Some visits are an hour while others are longer, allowing you time to enjoy activities or pop to a cafe or place of interest together.

5. Weekend & Evening CareGivers 

Do you have spare time at the weekend or during the evenings? Would you like to support people in your local community and earn enhanced hourly rates and paid travel time? We can find the hours and an area to suit you.

We’re looking for big-hearted, competent, and reliable CareGivers to support our elderly and disabled Clients to live fulfilling and independent lives at home.

Drivers Preferred

Do you love to go out and about exploring Brighton & Hove? Our older and disabled Clients do too! This is why we’re looking for CareGivers with UK driving licenses and access to a car to join our amazing team. During weekend and evening visits, we pay for travel time from the start of your first home call until the end of your last visit, along with enhanced hourly rates and a generous 45p per mile.
