A Royal Garden Party Invitation

Earlier this year, Kingsway Care Managing Director, Vicky Haines, received a personal recommendation via the Homecare Association to attend a royal garden party.

This was in recognition of her contribution to Homecare and her work supporting workforce issues across the sector, such as the Overseas Care Workers Ban.

The royal invitation came as a genuine surprise to Vicky. And mild panic about what to wear!

Like many people in this sector, you simply get on with what needs to be done and hope, in some small way, it contributes to improving things for others. That's why this royal recognition feels so special.

Celebrating 8,000 Frontline Workers

Held in the stunning gardens of Buckingham Palace, the afternoon celebrated 8,000 frontline workers from across the UK. According to the official Court Circular, The King and Queen hosted the Garden Party to celebrate the dedication and contribution of those who serve their communities through volunteering, supporting charitable causes and working for emergency services.

For a company called Kingsway Care, it felt especially meaningful to be recognised at such a magnificent royal occasion.

For Vicky, there was never any question about who would be her 'plus one'.

Olly Carter had to be there with me, as it was his vision that started Kingsway Care, and we've navigated this very unpredictable journey together from the beginning.

Kingsway Care's founder, Olly, shared his own reflections on the day in a typically enthusiastic fashion:
