We’re still buzzing from an unforgettable evening at the historic Old Bailey in London. Our Managing Director, Vicky Haines, was personally invited by David Chalk, The Sheriff of London to attend a prestigious, invitation-only symposium, “What Future for the Care Sector?” And what a night it was!
Imagine walking through the doors of the Old Bailey, past security and into Court 1, the same courtroom that has seen some of the most famous trials in British history. Then imagine mingling alongside 75 of the most influential figures in the UK care sector, including:

Positive Ways Forward
The focus of the event was to look beyond the challenges we all know too well: recruitment struggles, funding limitations, and changes to immigration rules. Instead, the speakers and guests explored positive ways forward, through innovation, international inspiration, and new technology.
The message? It’s time to stop talking only about what’s broken, and start celebrating the brilliant care already being delivered every day. Like the work our amazing Kingsway Care team is doing.
From Brighton to the Old Bailey
Of the 13,000 care providers across the country, Kingsway Care was one of the few independent home care providers invited to attend. Even more impressively, we were among just 25 people invited to the exclusive dinner afterwards in the Judges’ Dining Room. A rare honour in such distinguished company.

We’d like to extend our thanks to the organisers of the What Future for the Care Sector? symposium at the Old Bailey. It was an honour to be invited and an unforgettable experience to take part in such a prestigious and inspiring evening.
To be among national leaders in the care sector, discussing ideas, innovations, and ambitions for the future, was both humbling and energising. We left Court 1 and the Judges’ Dining Room feeling not just proud of how far Kingsway Care has come, but full of optimism for the future of home care in the UK.
The conversations were a powerful reminder that positive change is possible and already happening. We’re more motivated than ever to continue raising the bar, delivering exceptional care, and helping to shape a future where quality home care is accessible to everyone.
