Kingsway Care Team Meeting
Last week’s team meeting at the Kingsway Care Academy in Hove had us smiling from ear to ear and not just because of the biscuits. When you look at this fabulous photo of our team together, you can feel the energy: supportive, positive, tight-knit, and full of purpose. This is what the Kingsway Care Dream Team looks like.
We’re incredibly proud of the working culture we’ve created. One where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. A place where every CareGiver is valued, supported, and celebrated, not just for major milestones, but for the little wins that make a big difference.
Learning & Laughing Together
The in-person CareGiver team meeting was full of laughs, and some seriously brilliant teamwork recognition. Kellie and Vicky agreed it was one of the loveliest meetings yet and so great to see everyone together!
Of course, we tried to get the perfect group photo… but there’s always one who blinks, sneezes or suddenly forgets to look at the camera. (Looking at you, Arthur!)
July Cash Prize Winners
Every month, we shine a light on the amazing efforts of our CareGivers with cash prizes for outstanding work. Whether it’s a kind word at the right moment, going the extra mile for a client, or simply being that steady, reassuring presence, our team proves again and again that care is a calling, not just a job.

Roster Hero: Bobby
When our client experienced a relapse in his Parkinson’s, Bobby didn’t hesitate to step in and provide live-in care at very short notice. He also volunteered to cover overnight shifts for the entire following week, saying he wanted to do everything possible to support our client during this challenging time. His kindness and commitment are deeply appreciated.
Yellow Angel: Vicky
Our Registered Manager, Lisa, nominated Vicky because she continues to be nothing short of amazing. She regularly works 12-hour days, helping the business grow and thrive. Last weekend, she stepped in to support a new client who required urgent care, and this week she covered an overnight visit for a client when no one else was available.
Vicky is also making a name for herself in the wider care sector speaking out on radio, writing articles and being invited to prestigious events like the Symposium at the Old Bailey.
Brand Ambassador: Nandita
Nandita has shared some lovely photos with her clients. One particular client always speaks so warmly about Nandita’s care and support. It’s clear how much of a positive impact she makes. Well done, Nandita!
CareGiver of the Month: Bruce
Bruce has been outstanding over the past month. Despite having a full schedule, he has willingly taken on extra tasks and additional visits without hesitation. He was especially brilliant in supporting client Ernie during a burn injury, working closely with our Registered Manager, Lisa, the family, and the nursing team to ensure smooth care.
He has also recently begun supporting a new client with complex needs and is preparing to meet another next week. Bruce, your dedication and adaptability have been exceptional. Great work!
Breaking News!
And just when we thought the love couldn’t flow any stronger... One of our lovely clients, Nina, has been lobbying for a brand new Kingsway Care Award Category:
“Best Bed Maker.” Why? Because her CareGiver, Bruce, has truly exceptional sheet-smoothing skills — and she’s got the photos to prove it.
“Bruce was saying he was Carer of the Month… but I’ve been thinking, he’s so good at bed making, there should be a category for Best Bed Maker. His bed making is first class. I’d have no doubt nominating him!”
Sources close to the sheets confirm Bruce’s corners are crisp, duvets smooth, and pillows perfectly plumped. We asked Bruce for comment, but he was too busy fluffing!
We agree with Nina, that this kind of attention to detail deserves recognition! Bruce, consider yourself the unofficial (but now very official-sounding) Kingsway Care Bed-Making Champion of 2025!
