Kingsway Care Renews Sponsorship for Third Year
Kingsway Care is delighted to renew its sponsorship for the third year to support the fantastic local, Food and Friendship Luncheon Club in Hove. The community-based charity has been providing low-cost shared meals for older people and adults with learning disabilities since 2012.
Food and Friendship Luncheon Club
Caroline Henderson founded Food and Friendship to create a charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of older individuals. It also supports adults with learning disabilities through communal dining and companionship.
Kingsway Care's renewed sponsorship is welcome news and will make a huge difference to our ingredients budget going into 2024.

Kingsway CareGivers help serve Christmas Lunch
To celebrate the renewed sponsorship, Kingsway CareGivers, Arthur and Makana volunteered to help serve a delicious Christmas lunch to the regular Thursday lunch crowd.
I really enjoyed helping out with the Food and Friendship lunch today. You can see that a little time and effort go a long way in their eyes. It's amazing to make others happy and see how kind everyone involved is.

Volunteers Have Fun Too!
Caroline and her regular volunteers were dab hands at prepping a fabulous Christmas lunch for 70+ people. They catered especially for those with sensory impairments or learning difficulties. The kitchen was a sea of 'pink' volunteers calmly working together, some since 8am. They not only delivered the delicious lunch but also a party atmosphere full of fun and excitement for the guests. We even got to sit down and enjoy the Christmas lunch too!
TJ provided the entertainment, singing a range of Christmas and party tunes. We all had fun finding the raffle prize winners and whizzing around with the prize trolley delivering gifts.
Washing up was done in double quick time, thanks to the number of volunteers helping out.
Volunteers Welcome
Volunteers come from the local community and bring a wealth of life experience, skills, and kindness to their roles. They have volunteers aged from 18 to 84.
