No two days are ever the same! I love meeting all different people and hearing their stories. I could listen to them for hours!
Our team is filled with passionate, caring people who make every day brighter and fun for our clients. This week, we caught up with Sally, one of our Senior CareGivers, to hear about her journey and what she loves most about her role at Kingsway Care.
“My name’s Sally and I’ve worked at Kingsway Care for nearly four years,” she begins with a big smile.

What Did You Do Before?
Before joining the team, Sally studied criminology at university. When lockdown hit, she wanted to do something meaningful. “I found a job helping people who needed it. It felt good to help during such a hard time,” she says.
What Do You Enjoy About Visiting Clients?
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Sally beams, “No two days are ever the same! I love meeting all different people and hearing their stories. I could listen to them for hours.”

For Sally, being a carer is about variety and connection. “One morning we might be helping someone get ready for the day, and in the afternoon, taking someone to a hospital appointment or an outing. I love that every day is different. The office team and carers out in the community are wonderful too—it’s such a lovely place to work.”
Her inspiration to go into care came during the pandemic. “I just wanted to help people and do something proactive when everything else stopped,” she shares thoughtfully.
So, what’s a typical day like? “Early mornings, helping everyone up for breakfast, then checking in again later for lunch. Some days are challenging, others are amazing—but every day is rewarding.”

When asked to describe Kingsway Care in three words, Sally laughs and says, “Caring, bright, and fun… oops, that’s a few more than three!”
