When you contact Kingsway Care, whether through a recommendation or after finding us online, our discussion begins with an initial assessment. This step involves gathering general information about your current situation. A team member will visit you to conduct this assessment, ensuring we understand your needs and preferences. Comprehensive Home Care Assessment
If you decide to proceed with our services, we follow up with a formal home care assessment. This detailed evaluation takes about an hour and a half and covers various aspects of your daily life:
- Nutrition: Understanding dietary needs and preferences.
- Mobility: Assessing physical capabilities and any assistance required.
- Medical History: Reviewing past and current health conditions.
- Daily Routine: Learning about your typical day to maintain consistency.
This thorough assessment allows us to create a written care plan personalised to your specific needs, ensuring our CareGivers know exactly what to do from the first home care visit.
Matching Caregivers to Clients
At Kingsway Care, we believe in the importance of matching caregivers to Clients based on personality, hobbies, and interests. This matching process helps build a strong, positive relationship between the CareGiver and the Client. We strive for continuity, introducing CareGivers before they begin, so Clients feel comfortable and familiar with their care team.
Flexible and Reliable Scheduling
We understand the importance of maintaining routines. When you request specific times for care visits, we do our best to accommodate your preferences. If immediate scheduling isn't possible, we place you on a waiting list for your desired slot. Unlike some other providers, we commit to specific visit times, ensuring reliability and consistency.

We encourage family and/or friends involvement throughout the care planning process. Whether the Client or a family member acts as the primary contact, they will have an allocated client coordinator. This coordinator maintains regular communication, addressing any concerns and keeping everyone informed.
Family members receive weekly timesheets and are invited to participate in regular reviews, including a crucial four-week review to ensure the care plan is working effectively. This involvement ensures that any issues are quickly addressed, and the care plan is continuously optimized.

Care needs can change over time, and we are committed to adapting our services as required. Regular reviews and open lines of communication allow us to make necessary adjustments, ensuring our Clients always receive the best possible care.
