On 17th September 2025, the Kingsway Care team were excited to attend the Brighton & Hove Business Awards, an inspiring celebration of local enterprise, innovation, and dedication. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as businesses from across the city gathered. They were there to recognise their achievements.
Employer of the Year Finalists
The evening began on a high note with the announcement of the very first award – Employer of the Year, proudly sponsored by Omny Group. It was a privilege for Kingsway Care to be shortlisted. This was alongside so many outstanding organisations committed to supporting and empowering their teams.
Recognition from Omny Group
Before revealing the results, Liz Beck, Developmental Director at Omny Group, commended the exceptional calibre of entries for Employer of the Year. She highlighted how every nominee demonstrated an impressive commitment to their people. They cultivated a culture of growth, wellbeing, and empowerment.
Because the competition was so strong, Liz explained that the judges decided to present a “Highly Commended” award. A recognition of excellence for one organisation that particularly stood out.

We were thrilled when Liz announced:
Well, as usual, the standard of entries was incredibly high, recognising businesses that put their people first, fostering a culture of growth, wellbeing and empowerment. And because of the high standard of entries and the difficult choice that needed to be made, I'm thrilled to say we have a highly commended that I'll announce first.

Hearing those words was an incredibly proud moment. Receiving a “Highly Commended” in the Employer of the Year category affirms our ongoing mission. We aim to create a supportive, inspiring workplace where our CareGivers and support staff can thrive. This is all while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Of course, we’d also like to extend our warm congratulations to Clarity Environmental, who were crowned Employer of the Year on the night.
