We’ve been proud to win the GDBA Employer of the Year twice (2023 and 2024) and Business of the Year in 2024. Of course, we’d love to win these again but can lightening strike three times? In this post, we're going to share why we entered the Customer Delight award.
Customer Delight in Care is About the Small Things
In homecare, customer delight doesn’t come from grand gestures alone. It shows up in the everyday moments. Knowing how someone takes their tea. Remembering what helps them feel calm. Noticing when something feels “off” and responding before it becomes a worry.
It starts with really knowing our clients. Their routines, their preferences, their concerns, and what helps them feel safe and valued in their own homes.
To make that possible, we recruit for kindness and shared values first. Compassion can't be taught. But we do provide continuous training for care skills at our Kingsway Care Academy. We also stay close to our clients and their families, keeping feedback informal and ongoing, rather than something captured only through surveys or set review processes.
To bring this to life, we’ve created two short films that show Kingsway Care from both sides of the care relationship.

#WhoCares? is our love letter to all CareGivers and provides insight into why ours choose a career in homecare.
Together, they reflect what customer delight means to us. Care that is thoughtful, relationship-led and rooted in trust.
Why Does Kingsway Care Enter Awards?
While we’re proud of what we do, our reason for entering awards like the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards, goes beyond Kingsway Care. Social care is too often spoken about only in terms of crisis or pressure. We want to be part of a more positive, honest conversation. One that recognises the real impact good homecare has on daily life, and raises expectations across the sector.
Because when care is done well, it doesn’t just meet needs. It makes life better.
